Food Preparation In Advance

With the versatility and convenience of Tupperware's ฎ revolutionary new product, Rock 'N Serve ™, you can now freeze, reheat, serve and store your meals for up to 3 months at a time!

Return your family to the table at diner-time without the frustrations of time-consuming food preparation.

You can prepare many meals at one time which will save you time in preparation and cleanup. You will also save money when you make fewer trips to the store and purchase your foods in bulk. You won't be tempted to fall back on less-nutritious, quick-fix foods or more costly eating out.

An additional advantage is that you will have meals on hand for unexpected guests or to share with those in need because of illness, a death, moving, etc.

Collect your recipes, have all needed ingredients on hand, and start cooking. You can easily cook enough meals for a month in only one day. The rest of the month you can spend your time on other important activities.

FREEZER STORAGE TIPS

• It's not safe to thaw food, especially meat, and then refreeze it without first cooking it.

• Frozen food that has been stored in moisture-proof containers with airtight lids or seals will keep its color and flavor much longer. If you must use wraps, foils and bags, then use wraps, foils and bags specifically made for the freezer. Avoid using regular waxed paper; lightweight aluminum foil, regular plastic wrap, cartons from cottage cheese or butter.

• Freeze food quickly to 0ฐ or below.

• Post a dated list of food on the freezer door, and keep it current.

• Use food frozen in non-Tupperware products within six weeks. Use food frozen in Tupperware Rock ‘N Serveฎ within 3 months.

• Thaw, heat and serve food in rapid succession.

• Allow hot foods to cool to room temperature before freezing.

• Blanch or pre-cook all vegetables before freezing to top enzyme action and to keep them from becoming discolored and mushy. Drain blanched vegetables before freezing them.

• Don't freeze the following foods. They will change color, texture or separate in some way during the freezing or thawing process:

• Raw salad vegetables (such as lettuce, radishes, tomatoes)

• Raw eggs in their shells or hard-cooked eggs

• Raw potatoes or boiled white potatoes (they turn black)

• Commercial cottage cheese

• Gelatin salads or desserts

• Icing made with egg whites, boiled frostings, or cakes with cream fillings

• Instant rice (it dissolves and becomes too mushy). You can freeze regular cooked rice

• Custard pies, cream pies, or pies with meringue
